Protected Areas were to take centre stage at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Marseille in 2020. The COVID pandemic meant the showcasing activities ha to be rescheduled to some point in 2021. ‘Vital sites: The Journey to Marseille’ was arranged to highlight stories, expert opinions, and case studies on the importance of protected and conserved areas, from around the world with a series of multimedia events and activities the new Green List digital platform.
