Project Description
STINAPA Bonaire, the management body for the Bonaire National Marine Park, realised the need to update the Marine Park management plan, but recognised that the park includes a number of specially protected areas (Ramsar sites) which require their own nested management plans: Pekelmeer (site#200), Lac (site#199) and Klein Bonaire (site#201).
Parks Work was contracted to draft as a desk study an updated management plan, whilst funding was secured for the development of the three additional Ramsar site plans. Work included gathering and reviewing all available information, stakeholder analysis, threat analysis, incorporating strategies, activities and actions for the management of the Bonaire National Marine Park.
