Project Description
STINAPA Bonaire, the management body for the Bonaire National Marine Park, realised the need to update the Marine Park management plan, but recognised that the park includes a number of specially protected areas (Ramsar sites) which require their own nested management plans: Lac (site#199) and Klein Bonaire (site#201).
Parks Work was contracted in July 2021 to update the 2006 management plan. The work includes project planning, reviewing all available information, stakeholder analysis and extensive consultation, threat analysis, incorporating strategies, activities and actions for the management of the Bonaire National Marine Park.
